Articles of precious metal

The draft regulation amending the Regulation No. 86 of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications from 19th of April 2004 “The procedure for the analyses and marking with control marks of articles of precious metal”

The Regulation is established on the basis of subsection 10(4) of the Precious Metal Articles Act and in accordance with the Regulation of the Government of the Republic No. 258 from 9th of October 2003 “Authorisation for the Establishment of Legislation Arising from the Precious Metal Articles Act”.
Section 10 of the Precious Metal Articles Act makes a provision for a control mark for precious metal articles byv which the precious metal assayer attests that the sample of precious metal used for the manufacture of the articles of precious metal corresponds to the standard mark entered on the product. The control mark is the Estonian assay mark. Regulation No. 86 of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications from 19th of April 2004 “The procedure for the analyses and marking with control marks of articles of precious metal” regulates the analysis of precious metal articles and the activities of the precious metal assayer when assaying the sample of precious metal.
