The purpose of this Technical Specification is to lay down the requirements for the demolition of elements of reinforced concrete structures or whole parts thereof by mechanical means, while maintaining the non-demolished remaining construction intact.
This applies to the demolition of members or parts of buildings, hangars, silos, tanks, non prestressed bridges, supporting walls, chimneys, etc., including their underground parts, regardless of the static function of the load-bearing structure.
