Non-listed aquatic animal species introduced from third countries. Definitions of what constitutes an aquatic animal and a listed species are laid down in the EU Animal Health Regulation.

Regulations amending the Swedish Board of Agriculture’s regulations and general recommendations (SJVFS 2021:13) on registration, approval, traceability, movement, import and export with regard to animal health

Non-listed aquatic animal species may only be introduced from third countries which are members of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) or which are listed in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/404 of 24 March 2021 laying down lists of third countries, territories or zones thereof from which the entry into the Union of animals, germinal products and products of animal origin is permitted in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Consignments shall be accompanied by the same type of animal health certificate as applies to listed aquatic animal species.
The provisions include requirements for the conditions during transport.
All provisions are Swedish special provisions because the EU has chosen not to regulate non-listed species.
The provisions concern introduction from third countries and are deemed to be subject to the WTO notification requirements under the SPS Agreement.
