- prescribing, preparing, distributing, dispensing and using individually prepared medicinal products containing cannabis for medicinal use

- introduction of the concept of ‘cannabis extract for medicinal use’

Draft Decree amending Decree No 236/2015 on the conditions for the prescription, preparation, distribution, supply and use of individually prepared medicinal products containing cannabis for medicinal use, as amended by Decree No 307/2020.

These are as follows:

- introduction into clinical practice of the medicinal and addictive substance extract from cannabis for medicinal use;
- introduction of a quantitative restriction on cannabis for medicinal use in the context of the provision of health services during hospitalisation.
The amendment excluded a solution or mixture containing cannabis extract and tincture, which contains no more than 1% of substances from the tetrahydrocannabinol group, provided that the substance, solution or mixture contains such a substance in such a quantity that it cannot be misused from the solution or mixture.
