The Order on weapons and ammunition that may be used in hunting, etc. contains a ban on the inclusion and use of projectiles for rifle ammunition containing a concentration of lead equal to or greater than 1 % by weight for hunting and regulation.

The ban is limited to centre-fire rifle ammunition, i.e. rimfire ammunition and ammunition fired from air and spring weapons are excluded.
The Order provides for a transition phase in such a way that the ban will apply from 31 March 2024. This means that leaded centre-fire rifle ammunition can be included and used in connection with hunting and regulation until the above date.
