The draft Rules for the Use of Radio Spectrum from Electronic Communications Networks by amateur radio Service (Rules) have been developed in conjunction with the provisions of Article 30(1)(8), Article 32(1)(2)(6)(9) and Article 66a(3) of the Electronic Communications Act (ECA) (amended and supplemented, Journal of Laws No. 20 of 9 March 2021). Pursuant to Art. 66a(3) of the Electronic Communications Act, the use of the radio frequency spectrum – free, after registration or after issuance of authorisation shall be determined by rules.

These Rules govern the conditions of use of radio spectrum, including the technical parameters for the operation of radio equipment by a amateur radio service, as well as the requirements for persons using them.

The document also includes information on the mode of use of the frequency resource, specifying the applicable technical standards, which ensure compliance of radio equipment with the essential requirements laid down in Directive 2014/53/EU.
