ELOT TS 1501-10-05-09-00 Temporary plant stabilization systems
The purpose of this Technical Specification is to lay down the requirements for temporary stabilisation of trees and/or large shrubs during planting or transplanting in order to achieve one or more of the following purposes:
1) Stabilization of the root system so that it can grow smoothly until the plant is successfully installed;
2) Support of seedlings whose trunk is not sufficiently grown in diameter to support their crown;
3) Protection of new plants from vandalism, passers-by or vehicles, gardening machinery, etc.
Please note that this specification does not regard:
1) fixed systems for the stabilisation of parts or support of installed trees,
2) fixed systems for the stabilisation of plants in planted rooftops or equivalent facilities.
