THE CYPRIOT MARK AWARD LAW OF 2021

A Cypriot Mark is hereby established, registered as an official mark of the Republic of Cyprus and awarded to any interested undertaking whose activities fall within the scope of the Law (agricultural products and foodstuffs) and which voluntarily participates in the system of control and award.

The bill also aims to:
a) the establishment of a system for the award of the Cypriot Mark,
b) the establishment of minimum Criteria for the Award of the Mark and the determination of their approval procedure for each category of products and,
c) the determination of the procedure, terms and conditions for the award of the Mark, as well as the granting of powers to the Audit Authority to carry out the necessary and effective controls and to impose the corresponding sanctions in the event of non-compliance with the provisions of the Law.
