Draft Decree on occupational health and safety and the safety of the operation of specified electrical equipment when performing mining, mining-type activities and handling explosives

The Decree contains provisions on occupational health and safety and the safety of the operation of specified electrical equipment when performing mining, mining-type activities and handling explosives.

In addition to defining terms, the Decree now includes the possibility of obtaining special qualifications through professional qualifications or full professional qualifications listed in the National Qualifications System, thus ensuring that in the future, with the development of previously unknown disciplines, it will be possible to define new qualifications, if necessary. It contains the definition of specified electrical equipment, their classification in classes and groups and the competence requirements of organisations for installation, repair, inspection and
testing of specified electrical equipment. Furthermore, it lays down requirements for the competence of persons to operate and work on specified electrical equipment;essential requirements for the commissioning and operation of specified electrical equipment;requirements to ensure safe work and operation when operating and working on electrical equipment;it defines the requirements to ensure occupational safety and health during activities on specified electrical equipment in potentially explosive areas and requirements to ensure safe work
on and operation of specified electrical equipment in the case of two or more employers in one workplace during mining, mining-type activities and the handling of explosives.
In connection with the adoption of this Decree, Decree No 202/1995 on requirements to ensure safety and health protection during operation and work on electrical equipment during mining and mining activities is repealed;Decree No 74/2002 on specified electrical equipment. Decree No 75/2002 on the safe operation of electrical technical equipment used in mining and mining-type activities, as amended by Decree No 381/2012 and Decree No 381/2012, amending Decree No 75/2002 of the Czech Mining Authority on the safe operation of electrical technical equipment used in mining and mining-type activities.
The underlined provision of § 22(2) of the Decree is implemented according to the given CELEX number. It fully replaces the transposition provisions of the repealed Decree No 202/1995, thereby maintaining the current level of implementation.
