All-terrain vehicle (ATV's) / "Quad Bikes"
all-terrain vehicle means a motorised vehicle, propelled by an internal combustion engine with liquid fuel or by other means, intended primarily to travel on unpaved surfaces on four wheels with low-pressure tyres, having a seat designed to be straddled by the rider and handlebars for steering.

Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations

Ireland intends to make it mandatory for all persons wishing to use an all terrain vehicle as part of their work to undergo mandatory all-terrain vehicle safety training course provided by a registered training provider to are cognised standard, in addition it is proposed to introduce mandatory PPE requirements for persons intending to operate an all terrain vehicle as part of their work.
