This amendment to the Rules modifies some of the quality requirements which must be applied in the production and placing on the market of pumpkin seed oils as well as palm and coconut oil/fats.

Draft rules concerning amendments to the Rules on edible oils and fats

Amending certain quality parameters for pumpkin seed oil in the Rules to avoid the possibility that the genuine pumpkin seed oils on the market do not comply with the values laid down in the applicable Rules.
Moreover, the draft Rules introduces an exemption for coconut/palm oil/fats, in relation to the requirement that, at the temperature of 20 °C, refined oils must be in liquid state, clear and have characteristic colours.
