Government proposal to the Parliament amending the Narcotics Act and section 15 of the Law on Electronic Prescription

Plants containing dimethyltryptamine, or DMT, would be identified as narcotic drug. The cultivation of hemp would only be allowed if it received EU agricultural aid or if the Finnish Medicines Agency had been notified about the cultivation and that the cultivation met certain conditions for obtaining agricultural aid. The cultivation of hemp intended to be used in or for the production or manufacture of narcotic drugs would continue to be prohibited.
