Pig meat produced in compliance with the national food quality scheme.

Quality Assurance for Food Products (QAFP) – Culinary pig meat

The draft contains a description of the voluntary national quality scheme for agricultural products in compliance with the criteria set out in Article 16(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 1305/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The system was notified in 2018 (reference number: 2018/622/PL). The current draft amendments mainly concern issues related to reducing the use of antibiotics, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving animal welfare. In addition, changes have been made to the general section of the Scheme concerning the accreditation of certification bodies for the QAFP Scheme.

Amendments to the requirements of the ‘QAFP — Culinary pig meat’ scheme have been developed by a group of producers who will implement them. Participation in the scheme is voluntary. All entities that fulfil the requirements set out in the standards of the scheme are entitled to participate in the scheme.
