The Regulation applies to the safety requirements for lights and other additional devices installed in vehicles for their specialised use as well as the technical requirements and the installation of the signal and warning lights, the reflectors, the reflective markings and the audible warning devices required for the specialised use of rescue vehicles, police vehicles, Finnish Customs vehicles, Finnish Border Guard vehicles, ambulances and emergency care vehicles.

The technical requirements for vehicle signal and warning lights, work and ancillary lights, the audible warning devices on emergency vehicles, and the reflectors and reflective markings of certain vehicles, and their installation in vehicles

This Regulation will allow the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency to issue regulations within the meaning of § 7 of the Vehicles Act (1090/2002) concerning safety requirements for lights and other additional devices to be fixed to vehicles for the purposes of their special use.

This Regulation will allow the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency to issue regulations within the meaning of § 20 and 21 of the Vehicles Act concerning the technical requirements and installation of the signal and warning lights, reflectors, reflective markings and audible warning devices required for rescue vehicles, police vehicles, Finnish Customs vehicles, Finnish Border Guard vehicles and ambulances and emergency care vehicles.
