The proposed regulations apply to the construction sector with relevance to construction products manufactured in or imported into Sweden.

Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning regulations amending the Board’s building regulations (2011:6) – regulations and general advice, BBR

Amendments to Sections 5 and 9 of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning regulations (2011:6) – regulations and general advice, BBR. In Section 5, which deals with fire protection, a reference to standards on how the reliability and capacity of residential sprinkler systems can be verified is updated. The regulation has also been supplemented by general advice for maintaining an equivalent level of safety.

In Section 9, which deals with energy conservation, adaptations to the amended Energy Performance of Buildings Directive have been made. Requirement levels have been amended and factors for various energy carriers that are used to calculate the energy performance of buildings have been updated. The amendment of the factors for various energy carriers (electricity, district heating, district cooling, bio fuel, oil and gas) will mean that the energy performance better reflects the climate impact of the building on the basis of the types of energy used by the building. This amendment also means that the competitive conditions for sustainable heating solutions are made more level. Requirement levels for energy performance and the average heat transfer coefficient have been amended.
