Agrarmarkt Austria (AMA) Quality Seal Guideline – Cow farming - Alpine milk module and Qplus cow module

The AMA Quality Seal Guideline ‘Cow farming’ is being amended:

A new voluntary alpine milk module will be launched that provides for milk production on alpine pastures, minimum grazing duration, GMO-free farming, feeding predominantly with feed from alpine pastures and restrictions on the application of fertilisers.

The voluntary Qplus cow module has been given a new direction via the monitoring and supporting the metabolism of cows to prevent a metabolic imbalance (ketosis).
