Draft implementing decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic amending Implementing Decree No 143/2012 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic on the breeding of dangerous animals

Based on expert knowledge and practical experience, it is proposed to reclassify the species of dangerous animals in the reptiles and amphibians class by removing certain species. At the same time, it is proposed to classify all species from the Falconiformes order and all species from the Strigiformes order, i.e. birds of prey, as dangerous animal species and include the order Primates in the Mammalia class and, within this class, include the genus Procyonideae in the family Canidae. Further to the changes relating to dangerous animal species, it is proposed that specific requirements for the breeding or keeping of selected species and for the establishments breeding them be laid down in the annex.
