Draft Ministerial Implementing Order applying the Decree-Law relating to fertilising materials

This Ministerial Implementing Order approves the types of non-harmonised fertilising materials, defines the types of raw materials which may be used in their production and lays down the requirements for their placement on the market.

These rules are part of the technical requirements for assessing the quality of the compost made from biodegradable waste, specified in Annex IV, by fixing nutrient content and other admissible parameters and respective margins of safety, and other obligations that the producer must comply with, in particular with regard to the packaging, labelling, quality control and traceability of these products, providing users a guarantee that they are purchasing a quality product and that it does not pose a threat to human health and to the environment.
