Electricity meters and metering systems for electrical energy

Regulations amending Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (Swedac) regulations and general advice (STAFS 2009:8) on metering systems for transmitted electricity

As a result of the introduction of smart meters, Swedac needs to adapt the provisions relating to the registration of measured values. It applies in three respects:

Amendment to § 3 as a result of the hourly registration requirement (hourly metering systems)

- with which energy resolution the measured value is to be recorded

- how much the set time of a measured value may deviate from normal time

Amendment to § 6

- which measuring method the meter/metering system uses in case it needs to measure electrical energy flowing in two directions (input/output).
