This Guideline and Regulation for Highway Construction [RVS] applies to the execution of direction signs and the design of road traffic signs on public roads.

Direction signs on motorways or dual carriageways and intersection-free expressways are excluded. These are regulated in RVS 05.02.13 (2018/358/A).
