The Swedish Transport Agency's regulations on specialised flight operations with certain aircraft and helicopters

The Swedish Transport Agency's regulations on specialised flight operations with certain aircraft and helicopters must be applied to commercial, specialised flight operations (SPO) with such aircraft and helicopters listed in Annex I, point 1, a-d and g of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The regulations must also be applied to non-commercial, specialised flight operations with such aircraft and helicopters as mentioned in paragraph 1, if their maximum take-off mass (MTOM) exceeds 5 700 kg for aircraft and 3 175 kg for helicopters.

For specialised flight operations which, according to Article 2.3 a of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139, are exempt from the application of the regulation, the regulations must be applied unless other national regulations apply to the operations. When flying abroad, the regulations must be applied when flying with Swedish-registered aircraft or helicopters, unless otherwise stipulated or contradicted by applicable law in the State in question.
