The National Electrical Safety Board has conducted a review of the rules that apply to plugs and socket outlets for domestic use. The major change for those affected is that the list of standards to which plugs must conform will be updated to include all of the currently applicable standards and appendices to standards. Otherwise, the new regulations contain amendments that are already established by law and by regulation. The rules are also adapted to conform to EU law.
