Draft Regulation amending Regulation No 18 of 2001 on road signalling using road signs (published in State Gazette (SG) No 73 of 2001; amended No 18 and 109 of 2004, No 54 of 2009; amended and supplemented in No 35 of 2015)

The draft Regulation amending Regulation No 18 of 2001 on road signalling using road signs increases the visibility of pedestrian crossing signals through increased requirements for the technical characteristics of light in the reflective surface of road signs used for signalling, which was accomplished by amending and supplementing Annex 10 to Article 8(2) of Regulation No 18 of 2001 on road signalling using road signs (published in SG No 73 of 2001; amended and supplemented in No 18 and 109 of 2004, No 54 of 2009 and No 35, 2015).

The Annex lays down the requirements for the technical characteristics of light in the reflective surface of road signs for visibility at night and during the day. These characteristics of the road signs are expressed by the coefficient of retroreflection of their surface in relation to the road and street class and to their location.
