Act on agricultural animal breeding (Styrian Animal Breeding Act)

The Animal Breeding Regulation (EU) 2016/1012 is immediately applicable EU law from 1 November 2018. The draft contains supplementary provisions necessary for the domestic implementation of the immediately applicable provisions of the European Union’s new animal breeding legislation.

In addition, it contains technical provisions on the animal breeding legal requirements for the transfer of breeding animals as well as the supply and use of semen, ova and embryos (e.g. labelling, breeding certificate or certificate of origin).
