The draft sets out the list of measuring instruments that are subject to mandatory metrological control, specifying the mandatory areas of application and exceptions, as well as the requirements for putting the instruments into use and accuracy requirements, areas of application, verification validity periods and requirements for metrological control, including statistical verification. This regulation, together with the Metrology Act, governs the metrological control of measuring instruments in Estonia. The regulation lays down areas of application for types of measuring instruments, where the use of metrologically controlled instruments is mandatory. The regulation specifies, by the type of measuring instrument, the accuracy requirements and those for putting the instruments into use.
