Interior Parts and Components Fire Protection for Transport Category Airplanes
Supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking - In Notice 19–09, published on 3 July 2019 (notified as G/TBT/N/USA/1503), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposed to amend certain regulations for fire protection of interior compartments on transport category airplanes. Based on certain comments received, the FAA is providing additional information on its proposed elimination of a smoke emissions testing requirement. The FAA is also changing its calculations related to the proposed rule's costs and benefits. This notice offers interested persons an opportunity to comment on these changes.
