Draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Repealing Certain Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine"; (2 page(s), in Ukrainian)

The draft Resolution provides for the repeal of Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 186 of 3 March 2022 "Certain Issues of Food Labelling under Martial Law" and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 234 of 9 March 2022 "On Measures to Ensure the Uninterrupted Supply of Imported Foodstuffs and Feed under Martial Law".

These Resolutions were adopted as temporary measures to ensure food security under martial law and introduced simplified food labelling requirements in cases of shortages of raw materials and the need for prompt changes to product formulations, as well as provisions allowing the placing on the market of imported food products and feed labelled in a language other than the state language.

The draft Resolution establishes that food products and feed whose labelling information is provided in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 186 of 3 March 2022 and Resolution No. 234 of 9 March 2022 may be placed on the market within the territory of Ukraine:

food products – until the expiry of the minimum durability date or the "use by" date;

feed – until the expiry of the minimum storage period. The adoption of the draft Resolution will ensure the full application of general labelling requirements in accordance with Law of Ukraine "On Information for Consumers regarding Food Products" and the Law of Ukraine "On Safety and Hygiene of Feed".
