The Technical Regulation on the limitation of emissions of volatile organic compounds due to the use of organic solvents in certain paints and varnishes for buildings and repairing of wheeled vehicles, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine of 2 October 2018 No. 1394, affirms the maximum limit values of volatile organic compounds in certain paints and varnishes products and establishes the requirements for the labeling of this product, which is placed on the market.

The amendments proposed by the draft Order are aimed to bring the labelling of sub-categories of paints and varnishes in line with Directive 2004/42/EC.
