The purpose of this draft Communiqué is to amend Turkish Food Codex Communiqué on Wheat Flour. This amendment prohibits the addition of brown or black colorants—such as roasted malt flour, roasted chickpea flour, and dark malt extract—and similar ingredients to wheat flour for the purpose of imparting color and/or aroma.
