Fire doors of buildings are subject to mandatory inspection under the certification system of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI). BSMI proposes to amend the "Legal Inspection Requirements of Fire Doors of Buildings." The main revisions is that the validity date of certificates in accordance with the previous inspection standard CNS 11227 (announced on 9 December 2002) are postponed, considering the industry need more time to update their certificates during Covid-19 pandemic.
