The Act for Control of Cosmetic Hygiene was amended and renamed "Cosmetic Hygiene and Safety Act" on 2 May 2018. To bring relevant legislation consistent with the Act, the Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, proposes amendments to the Enforcement Rules of the Act for Control of Cosmetic Hygiene. The amendments include renaming the title, adding the obligations for product notification and establishment of product information file, defining relevant terms, etc.
