Draft Thai Industrial Standard For Household Refrigerator and Refrigerator-freezer: Safety Requirement (TIS 2214 - 25XX (20XX)) (63 page(s), in English)

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to withdraw TIS 2214-2548 (2005): Household Refrigerators: Safety Requirements, and replace it with TIS 2214-25XX(20XX): Household Refrigerator and Refrigerator-freezer: Safety Requirementas a mandatory standard.

This standard specifies safety requirements of refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers for households, rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single-phase A.C. appliances, 480 V for other A.C. appliances, and 24 V D.C. for appliances when battery operated.

This standard applies to compression-type refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers which operated from the mains. It deals with the common hazards presented by the appliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home. The content and structure of the standard are in accordance with IEC 60335-2-24: 2010+A1:2012 with minor modifications.
