The document contains technical details on proposals to amend the current Notice issued under the Food Act 2014 that lists the maximum residue levels (MRLs) for agricultural compounds in New Zealand. MPI proposes the following amendments to the Notice:
a) The amendment of existing MRL entries for the following compounds and commodities:
· Fenpyrazamine: 0.05 mg/kg in grapes;
· Fenpyroximate: 0.15 mg/kg in avocado;
· Fluxapyroxad: 0.15 mg/kg for wheat, ryecorn and triticale grain; and 0.9 mg/kg for barley and oat grain;
· Mefentrifluconazole: 0.5 mg/kg for rye and triticale grain; and 3 mg/kg for barley and oat grain; and
· Sulfoxaflor: 0.01 for eggs, poultry fat, and poultry meat; 0.03 mg/kg for poultry offal; and 0.2 mg/kg for mammalian offal. MRLs for mammalian kidney and liver will be revoked.
