The notified Resolution sets out the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation into Nicaragua of soya bean (Glycine max L.) seeds originating in and coming from the Russian Federation.

To enter the country, shipments must meet the following conditions:

The soya bean (Glycine max L.) seeds must have been packed in the Russian Federation;

The soya bean seeds must come from seedbeds that have been inspected, registered and certified by the competent authority of the country of origin;

The product must be in new packaging;

The shipment of soya bean seeds must be free of soil and weed seeds or plant material other than that being imported;

The shipment must be accompanied by an official phytosanitary certificate issued by the national plant protection organization with an additional declaration stating that

the seeds are free from:

  • Soybean mosaic virus

  • Tobacco streak virus

  • Alfalfa mosaic virus

  • Gibberella avenacea

  • Peronospora manshurica

  • Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens

  • Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines
