The notified draft Mexican Official Standard lays down the requirements and processes that must be respected for all Olinalá wooden craft products, which are manufactured with raw materials from the municipality of Olinalá, in the State of Guerrero, as stipulated in the appellation of origin.

The notified draft Mexican Official Standard applies to Olinalá wooden craft products made within the geographical area of the municipality of Olinalá - located northwest of Chilpancingo, in the State of Guerrero, between latitudes 17° 43' and 18° 4' N and at a longitude of 98° 39' W, bordered on the north by the State of Puebla, on the south by the municipality of Cualac, on the west by the municipalities of Ahuacuotzingo and Copalillo, and on the east by the municipality of Huamuxtitlán, all in the State of Guerrero - and manufactured with raw materials from the municipality of Olinalá, such as linaloe wood bark and ground earthen pigments.
