This amendment is intended to enhance the safety management of imported foods with potential risk by improving the current system, under which the number of laboratory inspections is uniformly applied to re-imported foods with a history of non compliance, to allow the inspections to be applied differentially depending on the level of risk, up to a maximum of 20 times. It also aims to improve and supplement shortcoming identified in the operation of the current system, including the reasonable adjustment of the frequency of sanitation training that food import business operators are required to provide to their employees.
