The proposed amendments are to:
- enable alcohol producers or importers to label only calorie on their products when they voluntarily provide consumers with nutrition information;
- establish the standards of labelling "non-addition of sodium" or " unsalted";
- revise the standards of tolerance range for lower value of nutrition components in foods.
