MAFF is proposing a revision to Article 47-2 of the Ministerial Ordinance for Enforcement of the Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Diseases Control to add live rabbits (Leporidae) and live honeybees (Apis spp.) to the animals subject to the prior Notification Concerning the Importation of Animals before arrival in Japan, in order to ensure smooth animal quarantine procedures.
