This standard specifies requirements for deformed and plain billet-steel bars, in cut lengths or coils, for concrete reinforcement. Bars are of two minimum yield levels, namely, 300 MPa and 400 MPa designated as Grade 300 and Grade 400 respectively. The weldability requirements for the Grade 300 bars and Grade 400 bars are specified.
