Revision of the Mandatory Standards SI 50464 part 1 and SI 50541 part 1, dealing with medium power transformers 50 Hz, to be replaced with SI 50588 part 1. This draft standard revision adopts the European Standard EN 50588-1: September 2017, with a few changes and national deviations that appear in the standard's Hebrew section.  The major differences between the old version and this new revised draft standard are as follow:

• Due to the merging of the two old standards into one new, then this standard applies both to oil-immersed transformers and to Dry-type transformers;

• Changes the rated range of power supply;

• Adds new paragraph 3.6 dealing with the declared value of loss;

• Adds new paragraph 6.3 dealing with the peak efficiency index of transformers with rated power 3,150 kVA to 40,000 kVA.
