Revision of the following standards: Israel Standard SI 701 (voluntary) dealing with dried vegetables and Israel Mandatory SI 1359 dealing with spices and food seasoning mixtures, to be replaced with SI 1359. This new revised draft standard significantly differ from the old standard and includes the following:

·                       Provides a new standard's scope;

·                       Defines spices, powder and seasoning mixtures, dried vegetables, and foreign vegetal material;

·                       Sets general requirements, pest control requirements, materials allowed in the seasoning mixtures and microbial requirements;

·                       Sets water activity and water content requirements;

·                      Sets test methods for the above requirements.
