Draft Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Amendment Regulations, 2021 relating to:

(i)      Lowering of fat content for Double toned milk (DTM);

(ii)     Omission of "curd" bracketed with Dahi in 2.1.13;

(iii)    Omission of sub-regulation 2.1.19 relating to 'Foods for infant nutrition';

(iv)    Standards for Basmati Rice;

(v)     In 2.4.11 (4) w.r.t. protein and its quality specified under Formulated Supplements for Children;

(vi)    Amendment in standards for Comminuted or Restructured Meat Products;

(vii)  Amendment in the ash content for Guinea fowl eggs in the standards for 'Fresh eggs';

(viii) Limit of naturally occurring formaldehyde in finfish and shellfish;

(ix)    Change in labelling declaration from 'contains vegetable fat' to 'cocoa butter equivalent' in case of chocolates;

(x)     Deletion of the parameter 'calcium content expressed as calcium oxide on dry basis' for Nutmeg (whole);

(xi)    In sub-regulation 2.9.30 'Iron fortified iodized salt (Double fortified salt)';

(xii)   Relating to Chapter 3: Appendix A &C.
