Labelling on pre-packaged food

Draft Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2019. (66 pages, in English and Hindi)

These regulations prescribe the labelling requirements of pre-packaged foods and display of essential information on premises where food is manufactured, processed, served and stored. The new regulations will supersede the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011. Pre-draft of these regulations were also notified to WTO on 07.05.2018 via G/TBT/N/IND/77 in which some modifications have been made and hence the modified draft is being notify to WTO Members.
