Reglamento para el Control Sanitario de los Alimentos y Bebidas (Regulations on the sanitary control of foods and beverages) (30 pages, in Spanish)
The notified Regulations establish provisions on sanitary regulation, control and promotion to be met by natural and legal persons. Under these provisions, sanitary authorization shall be granted for food and beverages, the raw materials used to produce food and beverages, and establishments engaged in the manufacture, processing, handling, retailing, packaging, conservation, importation, exportation, storage, transportation, distribution and marketing of these products. The provisions also apply to establishments engaged in other activities of sanitary interest, including hotel and catering, and advertising services, with the aim of protecting public health. The notified Regulations apply to natural and legal persons manufacturing, processing, handling, retailing, packaging, conserving, importing, exporting, storing, transporting, distributing, marketing and advertising food and beverages and the raw materials used to produce food and beverages, and to establishments involved in any related activity, including hotel and catering services, within national territory.
