Online consultation: Mandating quit information messages inside tobacco packs.

This notification intends to alert Members to a UK Government consultation regarding mandating quit themed information messages and advice inside tobacco packets (also called pack inserts) sold on the UK market to help more smokers quit. The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) in the Department of Health and Social Care is leading this consultation on behalf of the UK government and the devolved governments in the UK. The UK government will consider next steps, which may involve mandating inserts through regulations, after reviewing the consultation responses.
