RENEWAL DECISION TO BE TAKEN FOR CREOSOTE AS PRODUCT TYPE 8 WOOD PRESERVATIVE IN GREAT BRITAIN;; (9 page(s), in English)

This decision will be taken by the Secretary of State to renew the approval of creosote as an active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 8 until 31 March 2033 for the following uses:

·        railway sleepers

·        transmission poles

·        fencing (safety critical uses, namely those requiring compliance with BS8417 service factor D)

·        surface treatment of wood for the above uses when modified at the point of installation
