Draft COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION amending Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production, labelling and control (6 page(s), in English)

Following the postponement by one year from 1 January 2021 to 1 January 2022 of the date of entry into application of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on organic production and labelling of organic products and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007, it is necessary to extend by one year the possibility for organic producers to use by derogation non organic pullets in egg production and to use by derogation a maximum of 5% of non organic protein feed for poultry and pigs. In addition, new products and or new uses for such products are authorised to be used in organic production.
