Household washing machines and household washer-dryers

Draft Commission Delegated Regulation supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1369 of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of household washing machines and household washer-dryers and repealing Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1061/2010 and Commission Directive 96/60/EC (and its accompanying annexes) (19 pages + Annex 38 pages, in English)

This draft Commission Delegated Regulation applies to household washing machines and household washer-dryers to be placed on the EU market and repeals Regulation (EU) No 1061/2010 with regard to energy labelling of household washing machines and respectively Commission Directive 96/60/EC implementing Council Directive 92/75/EEC with regard to energy labelling of household combined washer-driers.

It requires suppliers, before products are placed on the EU market, to upload the label data, the product information sheet and the technical documentation into a product registration database. The draft Commission Delegated Regulation is based on the findings of a review study and of a long discussion process with stakeholders. A study on the understanding of the label by users was conducted in 2018 as well.
