Draft Commission Regulation amending Annex IV to Regulation (EC) No 661/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Annexes I, III and IV to Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards updating the references to and inclusion of certain Regulations of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on the type-approval of motor vehicles (and its accompanying annexes) (7 pages + 6 pages of annexes, in English)

The main objective of this draft Commission Regulation is to update the references to UN regulations listed in the respective annexes to the General Safety Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 661/2009)and the Framework Directive (Directive 2007/46/EC) on motor vehicle type-approval in order to ensure that technical progress is not hampered. This is the 5th cycle of amendments to the General Safety Regulation since its adoption in 2009. Annexes I, III and IV to the Framework Directive are also complemented to reflect the adoption of UN Regulation No 0 on uniform provisions concerning International Whole Vehicle Type Approval.
