Footwear (ICS 61.060)

The Ministerial Decree No. 477/2018 (3 pages, in Arabic) mandating the Egyptian standard ES 3572 "Sports shoes and Its Parts" (28 pages, in Arabic).

The Ministerial Decree No.477/2018 gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian standard ES 3572 which specifies the general requirements and specifications for sports shoes of all types and its parts, made of natural leather, industrial alternatives or fabric, or a mixture thereof, with natural leather soles or other alternatives. This standard does not include armed forces, police or protective footwear. Worth mentioning is that this standard is identical with JIS S 5050.
